Train Chasers

So you've probably heard of storm chasers...well, we have become train chasers. Samuel and Seth LOVE trains. Samuel has used Google Earth to see exactly where the tracks run and Zachary and I just hang on for the ride while David drives like crazy to either beat one (so we get a good lookin'-at-spot) or follow one as far as we can. It is nuts. My sister-in-law sent me this idea from a magazine years ago. In fact, I used it for Samuel's 5th birthday and as soon as Seth saw the picture...this was the cake for him. I'm not very good with making cakes so if it recognized by my child...I've done good! :-) The makings of a cake... The outcome. Seth said, "Well, hello happy birthday train!" So, it was recognized as a train. Mission Accomplished. Seth is such a blessing to our family, we are so thankful for him. Happy Birthday, Seth!

Down Memory Lane

We celebrated Seth's birthday a week ago and I'll post pics of that later today...I hope. We did not have a digital camera when Seth was born and so most of our pictures are in an album. My mom has wanted copies of these and so today I began the ardous process of scanning and scanning. To most of you, these will be BORING but there will be two grandma's who will enjoy the trip down memory lane. I'll try to update tomorrow about my upcoming surgery and what's going on with me...but in the meantime...on to memory lane.

New Lungs!!!

Right now as many of you are reading this post, Tricia , is trading in a pair of lungs destroyed by cystic fybrosis for a "new" pair...please pray for her and her family. If you are interested, you can click on the live link here to visit their website. Tricia's "gift" is a "loss" for another family, kind of bittersweet, isn't it?
