Always looking for a frugal tip, I was intrigued when I saw that my sister-in-law cuts her fabric softener sheets into four strips and uses only 1 per load. I came home and cut mine too.
“I’m so proud of the way you are always looking for ways to save money,” David said when he looked into the drawer where I keep the dryer sheets. But I think he felt differently the next morning when he came out from the bedroom with his dress pants clinging to his calves like magnets to steel!
“Uh…do you have any ideas how to prevent this?” he wondered.
Well, we could cut them off at the knees… but that won’t look so good with a tie, I thought.
All this to say, it does work to cut your dryer sheets but adjust as needed!

I read your post re: homeschooling and the great responses! I think you will NEVER regret your decision to home educate, although there may be days you question your sanity for doing it! :-) You all will be GREAT homeschooling parents. (In reality, good parents are already homeschooling from Day 1; we just don't call it "schooling"!) And no one else knows your boys like you all do, which is another great reason to home educate! I do understand feeling overwhelmed, as that's exactly how I felt upon walking into a curriculum hall at a homeschooling convention - even with an elementary education degree!! :-) We are novices as well, but I agree with alot of the advice given -- relax, be convinced of WHY you're doing this, research your options, go with what's best for your family, and don't be afraid to change if it doesn't work! God bless you all in your journey!! It's exciting and challenging -- and you'll do great!
Also, used up dryer sheets (uncut ones) make great disposable dusting rags!
Good to hear from the "pro." And now I remember that you told me that about the towel and washclothes becoming softer too.
Does this work well for your family's dress clothes too?
Love ya!
